Oh Dylan!!

We sure love this kid. He is such a character. This is probably a testiment of how much TV that my kids have indulged in over the last 4-5 months, but Dylan has been reciting the Wal-Mart commercial...Save Money, Live Better, Wal-Mart. Check out the video.

Christmas

This is a Live Nativity that our pre-school group did at the community Nativity Display. Katlyn was Mary and Dylan was the pig (his choice over the sheep.) They sure were all cute.

This was our Christmas picture that we sent out this year. What a challenge to get all 3 of them to be happy and looking at the camera.

We had to have taken 30+ pictures...this was another of my favorites.

Christmas morning

Santa knew just what they wanted...Katlyn got a Cherry Blossom Cottage Ice Cream Shoppe and Dylan got a train table. They have had a great time playing with both. We love watching their imaginations at work.

Baby Oliver--my friend Allie made him this cute Elmer Fudd hat. He is so adoreable in it!

We had a great Christmas--and a nice time with our families. Sadly they are all moving away, so we had fewer people around than usual. :0( We definatly miss them all.

Frosty the Snowman Dance

Katlyn was in a ballet/gymnastics class this winter for about 12 weeks. She had a Christmas recital with 20 other 4 year olds dancing to Frosty the Snowman...how cute is that! She was right there in the front, I was really suprised how brave she was.

Halloween

Okay, so this is a little out of order, but I just didn't get a chance to put it on before the baby. We went to a murder mystery party the week after Halloween. We had a great time. I was Flotilla Submergia and unfortunately the killer. Everyone at the party tried to kill Caesar but I was the one who succeeded. It was really a lot of fun and as soon as it was over we were already planning when we wanted to do another one.

Katlyn and Dylan were both scarecrows. They looked pretty cute. They were able to dress up 3 times during the week. We went to Katlyn's preschool party, the library party & Halloween.

We took the kids trick or treating in my parents neighborhood and it was kind of a bust. Not many people were home and it was 12 degrees out.

We ended up at the fire station. They had a nice thing inside where the kids could play games, trick or treat at different stations, popcorn, McDonald's orange drink (a nostalgic treat), cupcakes, cookies and pictures with Sparky the fire dog. The kids really enjoyed it and we'll definitely keep it in mind for next year.

Welcome Oliver Russell Pyrah! November 24, 2008

38 weeks - 7 hours to delivery!!

My monster baby! Oliver made his debeut @ 9:56 pm. He weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and he was 21 1/2 ins. I was shocked to find out how much he weighed. To put in perspective Dylan was 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 3/4 in. Yowza! The midwife broke my water at 7pm and he was born 3 hours later. I told her that I only wanted to push 15 minutes. Katlyn was 45 min, Dylan was 30, so we did it, only 15 mins!

Proud Papa!

Grandpa Al, was where the name Russell came from. It was his mother's maiden name, his and my brother's middle name. Also Lucas has an uncle with a middle name of the same.

Our new family of five. Katlyn has been really excited about counting all of us, and couldn't wait to say that there are now 5 of us.

I thought that he looked like Dylan the second I saw him, but as he has changed over the last few days I think he looks more like my side of the family, than the Pyrah side.

Only time will tell for this cute little guy. Right now we are taking it day by day. He is a little jaundiced so he is under a billi-blanket to try to get his levels down. Hopefully he will be off of it by Monday. We are still working on nursing and trying to relearn all that you are supposed to do with a newborn. But he truly is a blessing to our family.

Punkin' Carvin'

Katlyn & Dylan at the begining of what became a very messy project. :0) Digging out the seeds and goop was fun for the kids. It took Dylan a while to stick his hand into the pumpkin.The kids loved everything about pumpkin carving.
