Skate! Skate! Skate!

Katlyn, her cousins & some friends all took some skating lessons this spring and had a great time.
There were quite a few tears at first from all the kids, especially from all the falling down, but they all gained some confidence over the 8 lessons. They got the patches for passing the class. Katlyn really did a great job, we are very proud of her.

Dylan, Lucas, Katlyn & Kale Lucas has been playing a lot of hockey again this past year. He played on a novice team and he was asked to play on a intermediate team also. So he has been playing games twice a week, at least 1 practice and this next weekend will be the 3rd tournament. That is an insane amount of hockey if you ask me. And if anyone thinks that I'm putting my kids in hockey you are crazy. It is the most all consuming sport there is, but you never know what the future will hold, maybe I'll have a pro hockey player someday. :0) But we've had a lot of fun watching dad play and he has really had great improvment over this past year. Go Mayhem!

To Cute To Eat!

My sister was doing a fundraiser that my mom was helping her with by doing a bakesale and these are the cookies that she made. We met up with her and the kids each bought a cookie for the cause. Dylan had his gone by the time we got home and I noticed that Katlyn wasn't eating hers, so I asked her why and she said it was to cute of a bunny to eat. So we took this picture so we could remember how cute the cookie was! :0)

The 3 Amigos

Here are some updated pix of the kidos!
My kids have been driving me a bit crazy these days, but they do say some pretty funny things sometimes. We have been trying to turn the TV off more and more these days so the kids have been playing a lot of pretend. For some reason Katlyn is always the boy. Her latest alter ego is Mike Henderson and Dylan is Fidilex (who are brothers) or she will be baby Violet and Dylan will be Mike. But the other day they were playing "Jill & Lucas" their version of house and Katlyn was Lucas and Dylan was Jill. Dylan came into the kitchen and told me that dad (Katlyn) was going to work on the farm and I said what is the mom (him)going to do today? He said the mom was just going to "stay in bed". Well I guess my secret's out! :0)

Smiley!

It was pointed out to me today that it has been a very long time since I posted anything. So I overachieved tonight. Everyone should be caught up on the life of the Pyrah Family. Hopefully it won't be 3 months before I post again. With as fast as this little guy is growing I need to be taking more pictures anyway. Isn't he just to cute??!! Hugs and Kisses!

My little Superheros!

Batman and Super Katlyn or Super Hello Kitty (I didn't have time to make the Hello Kitty face on the cape.)
The kids had a superhero/princess party that they went to. Of course Katlyn being the tomboy that she is wanted to be a superhero, but she did bring her tutu also just in case she wanted to be a princess. Dylan had a cape that my friend Allie made for him, so I just made him some wrist bands and a belt. I made the same for Katlyn and a cape, so she was Super Katlyn. They had a really fun time at the party and they stayed in their costumes almost all day.

Happy Birthday to me!

I told Lucas that I wanted a Costco cake and he didn't disappoint. White cake with a chocolate creme pudding like filling. Luuuuv it!!
We had my parents over for pizza birthday dinner and cake. And we had to watch American Idol of course. Lucas and I went out the next night to Benihana's -- yum -- I can't wait to go back. The food was great and it was a fun atmosphere.

What's not to love...

We made Valentine's for our family and sent out this picture. Yea!! it can be done, they can all look and smile at the camera. Oliver has been smiling for a few weeks now, it is so fun to interact with him a little more now.
