our little guy has turned 2! i can't believe that much time has passed. he is an amazing a little boy and has been so much fun for us. he turned 2 on the 19th, but he got a gift almost everyday for a week and we had his cake party with the family at the end of the week, so it was happy birthday to him everyday, i think he was a bit confused, but still loved every minute. i made him a train cake, with some ideas from family fun and my friend allie who did one for her son. i thought it turned out pretty cute. here are the top 8 things we love about dylan...(sorry allie, i'm taking a page from your blog, great idea.)
1. he is the best sleeper. it was a welcome change (after katlyn) that he was sleeping thru the night by 6-8 weeks old, and he has been great ever since. unless he's sick, we never hear a peep out of him.
2. he is a lover. dylan is the most cuddly kid. he will hug and kiss almost everyone.when he goes in for the hug he leads with his rather large melon. he is so sweet.
3. he is such a boy. he loves cars, trucks, trains, airplanes and anything that drives. he likes to wrestle and get into everything. he is always climbing on everything, even if he's been told a million times to stay down. i came in the living room one morning and he was standing on the table under the tv with is hands pressed up against the tv just watching his favorite show e-i-e-i moo (baby mcdonald from baby einstein.) what a monkey!
4. he loves his daddy. dylan is always excited to see lucas. he is always saying "talk to my daddy", "go see my daddy", "daddy home". he will cuddle up on the couch and watch football & hockey for what seems like hours. he likes to watch lucas play hockey and now the season is over he still asks "watch daddy play hockey?".
5. he wants to do everything katlyn does. he will copy everything she does, from jumping on the bed to singing the same songs to acting out in the same manner. she has him so wrapped around his finger that if she wines enough about playing with his toys (that he just got for his birthday mind you)he will let her play with them. but he still likes to pull her hair, hit, push & wrestle her, just like a boy.
6. he is very polite. dylan always has a please and thank you almost everytime and a bless you for anyone who sneezes.
7. he is always learning something new. it is amazing to us the sponge that kids are. he is learning his abc's, he can count to 10, he sings all sorts of songs & he is learning his colors (orange and yellow are his favorite, he is most excited to point out something to me that is orange.)
8. he wants "peabuder jelly" for lunch everyday. he will eat just about anything, but good ol' PBJ is his everyday lunch choice.
I love this kid--he is just like no other!
